Nicholas Hoult auditioned to play Jon Snow in Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones has had a respectable star cast, ranging from the young first-timers to the industry veteran actors. Over the past few years, we have heard of a lot of actors who auditioned for different parts on the show but didn’t land the roles. The latest of the bunch is Nicholas Hoult, who auditioned for the role of Jon Snow. Read on!

Nicholas Hoult auditioned to play Jon Snow in Game of Thrones

Nicholas Hoult was recently at the Montclair Film Festival, for the screening of his latest film, Tolkien, where he talked to Page Six about his shot at a role in Game of Thrones:

“I think I auditioned for Jon Snow. I remember it because I was filming ‘Clash of the Titans’ at the time, so I had long hair extensions. They gave me a ponytail and also a very patchy fake tan. So I remember being like, ‘This is probably not what they’re hoping for,’ and it obviously wasn’t.”

Of, course, the role went to Kit Harington in the end, who has done a great job with it. Had Hoult bagged the role, Game of Thrones would have looked quite different. Then again, what would Jon Snow be without the ever brooding Kit Harington?

“No one even knew I spoke English,” says Jason Momoa about struggling after Game of Thrones

“No one even knew I spoke English,” says Jason Momoa about struggling after Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones is the kind of show that is an up and coming actor’s dream job. Many of the actors on the show have validated this opinion, and here is no doubt that all of them have benefited from their time on the show. However, there have been certain struggles attached to it, as well. Jason Momoa, who played Khal Drogo, and is arguably the most loved star from the cast of Thrones, recently revealed his struggles after leaving the show. Read on!

In a recent interview with Esquire, Momoa discussed how things were like for him after he left Game of Thrones. Apparently he was put in a corner because of the kind of character that Drogo was:

“I mean, where do you put Drogo? He’s not going in a rom-com. No one even knew I spoke English.”

While Momoa had been acting for a while, Game of Thrones was his big break. He said:

“I’m not known for my acting. I’m known for action. I don’t say a lot of things or use big sentences.”

He reflected on his earlier days in the industry, working on Baywatch:

“I fell in love with the art of acting. But no one took me seriously. Baywatch isn’t known for its . . . quality of acting. I couldn’t get an agent to save my life.”

Momoa’s latest project was Dune, on which he worked alongside Timothée Chalamet, who he thinks is very talented:

“He’s so fucking talented, man. I don’t know. I’m a little dumber, needed some time. Which is probably the best for me, because it would have been bad if it happened when I was younger. I just would have fucked it all up.”

Well, we’re grateful that Jason is doing well now, and there’s no doubt he’s one of the most loved and in-demand actors in the industry. What do you guys think? Talk to us in the comments, down below!

Alfie Allen has the best reaction to everybody asking him about the Game of Thrones ending

Game of Thrones ended after a decade long run, and being everybody’s favourite show, we haven’t stopped talking about the ending, ever since. Many of the recent cast interviews have also had them having to answer questions about the end of the show, and the routine is getting old at this point. Obviously the stars must be tired of it by now, and Alfie Allen (Theon) had the best answer to one such questions. Read on!

Alfie was recently on the red carpet of the premiere of his new film, Jojo Rabbit, where ET asked him what he felt about the ending of Game of Thrones, now that some time has passed. Alfie’s reaction was priceless:

Alfie wrapped it up with only three words:

“I’m over it.”

Well, you heard it folks. Theon is over it, and you should be too.

It’s a given that Alfie is not alone in feeling this way. The stars have moved on to other projects, and are busy promoting those. So it’s a given that being asked about Game of Thrones’ ending while in the middle of these promos has to be at least somewhat annoying.

Kit Harington says he would love to play Severus Snape in a Harry Potter prequel

Now that Game of Thrones is over, the stars of the show are open to doing new projects. While the person that was arguably the lead star of Thrones, Kit Harington (Jon Snow) already has a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he says he would still be down to play Severus Snape in a Harry Potter prequel. Read on!

Kit was recently at the ACE Comic Con, and like we reported, he discussed his entry into the MCU. However, Kit also talked about another big fandom he loves, and that is Harry Potter. Speaking of houses, he said he believed Jon Snow was a Hufflepuff, but has a different choice for his own self:

“I am a Gryffindor. I’ve thought very deeply about it.”

He also revealed that his favourite from the series was either Prisoner or Azkaban, or Goblet of Fire. The conversation then moved to whether Kit would be open to starring in a prequel film surrounding the Marauders, James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew, to which Kit had an answer ready:

“Snape is the best character, ever. The storyline of Snape. Severus Snape is the most tragic, wonderful, brilliant…He’s a character you hate, and then end up loving. He’s just phenomenal. I don’t think I’m right for him, so I’ll play Sirius. But, whoever gets to play Snape, that’s a great character.”

Well, you can expect fan casting rosters to spring back into action now. What role do you think Kit would be fit for? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
