Update: The petition has now been signed by 1 Million Game Of Thrones fans!

1 Million fans sign the petition to remake Game Of Thrones Season 8 with competent writers

Game of Thrones Season 8 is being received very poorly. The fans haven’t been happy with how the writing has been this season, complaining about the haphazard pace and convenient plot. They seem to be so angered with the whole deal that they have now started a petition to remake Season 8 with  “competent writers”. Read on!

While a lot of the complaints about the Game of Thrones have been about the plot development itself, it seems as though the fudged pace could have made it so. The first two episodes were well received, but the third and fourth were both heavily criticized, with the fifth episode, “The Bells“, becoming the worst rated episode of the show.

The displeased fans have now taken to Change.org with a petition to HBO that asks for the final season to be remade. The description reads:

“David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on. This series deserves a final season that makes sense. Subvert my expectations and make it happen, HBO!”

Well, the petition has hit 150,000 signatures as of now and it looks like it could easily hit a million, and more, given the amount of dissatisfaction going around. The final episode plot summary was also leaked and has been getting a lot of hate so the finale could see this petition gain even more traction.

I agree. The series deserves much more. The characters deserve better. They had 1hr 30 mins last episode 5 and they spent whole of it burning the city. I saw the making. They spent so much on making the sets what was the point if there was nothing to show?
The audience demands should be considered.

Please also include the link to petition so we can also sign. These writers made GoT just another Marvel or Disney content.

I honestly think that GRRM should have at least written a summarized script if not the book then D & D direct from there. GRRM could have at least seen the scripts and not just the ending. I think he dissociated himself after the 6th season when his insights were needed. Fact remains the original creator is GRRM while the directors are D & D and they both cannot do each others work.

Well this is game of thrones, nobody is criticising the unexpected ending or where ever the show takes us,, the problem is with the incompetent script writing and so many plot holes in the script which was not seen in the previous seasons of game of thrones… so many loose ends in th script is what everyone is yelling about…

Agree, after waiting 2 yrs for the finale it was far from what dedicated viewers and fans deserved and seemed thrown together and contrived, not giving particularly key characters any real depth or consideration worth ending an epic series on. Truth be – I wasn’t expecting much when it came out that there would be such a delay and THEN only 8 episodes. Some endings were appropriate – others cheap – and others yet so offbeat that it seemed like the final episode was written by people who hadn’t watched the first 7. Wondering if a rewind and redo will… Read more »

Amazing. Folks have nothing better than to piss and moan about this? I would LOVE to see ANYONE even come within a MILE of talent and creativity the Game of Thrones writers have given us for the past ten years. I think they did a remarkable job and this ridiculous whining is despicable. Piss pff babies. Deal with it.

A second Game of Thrones prequel about the Targaryens is close to getting a pilot

A second Game of Thrones prequel about the Targaryens is close to getting a pilot

Game of Thrones might have permanently ended, but the universe isn’t done telling its stories. The last we checked, there were multiple prequels under construction, with one prequel — Blood Moon, having finished filming the pilot. Now, it seems like the second prequel is getting close to a pilot order, and it’s about the Targaryens. Read on!

Deadline recently revealed in an exclusive bit that a second Game of Thrones prequel being developed by Ryan Condol with George R. R. Martin, and based upon the downfall of House Targaryen is close to getting a pilot order from HBO. The series is supposed to be based on GRRM’s book, Fire & Blood.

Now, if you’re wondering if you saw Condol’s name among one of the developers of the five prequel series that were initially revealed, let’s save you the time — you didn’t. Condol’s idea is apparently not a sixth prequel, but a revisit to Bryan Cogman’s preuqel idea from a different angle. Cogman had revealed a few months ago that his prequel idea had been scrapped.

Fire & Blood goes from Aegon the Conqueror’s conquests right to the Dance of the Dragons, that marked the fall of the Targaryens, which apparently is expected to be a big part of the series. There is no official information yet, but it looks like the show could get a go for pilot filming anytime now.

What do you guys think? Excited about this one? Tell us in the comments, down below!

Some fans are angry with the Emmy Awards for giving major Game of Thrones spoilers

The Emmy Awards 2019 revealed major Game of Thrones spoilers, and fans are pissed

Game of Thrones has been the greatest TV phenomenon of all time, and it has fans all over the world. However, not everybody has watched the show, while some of that fans have still not watched the dreaded final season and others that just haven’t gotten around to it, were all in for a shocker when the 2019 Primetime Emmy Awards spoiled key moments from the show. Read on!

The 2019 Emmys didn’t have a host and opened with a sequence instead. It was all great until the Game of Thrones part of the sequence came up, and it had some major spoilers. The sequence showed Jaime knighting Brienne, Arya killing the Night King, a dead Daenerys and the Iron Throne burning, all of which would spoil the show enough to just not watch it anymore. Fans were pissed:

Well, in all honesty, it’s kind of unfair to expect to be fully safe from spoilers this long after the show has ended. On the other hand, that montage could have totally done without all the spoiler-y bits.
