Urban Decay releases a new Game of Thrones make-up set

With the onset of the final Season of Game of Thrones set to air this April 14, many fans are going to miss their beloved show. Not only that, even many companies are now making new tributes to the show to celebrate the end of it. Urban Decay took a similar approach as those companies by announcing a make-up set based on Game of Thrones. More so, the brand has announced that it will be timing the release of the make-up set along with the final season premiere on April 14.

As if a part of the massive fan initiative which caused millions of fans from around the world to display their affection for the series in spectacular fashion, Urban Decay released a photo on Instagram and Twitter featuring a model wearing Teal and Metallic Cobalt eye make-up with the text ‘For the Throne’ written all across it. Further details yet remain unclear, but this move should increase sales for the company since it does appeal to the fandom of the Throne.

This isn’t the first Game of Thrones inspired make-up set either. Story Book Cosmetics announced their ‘Game of Thrones’ inspired¬†make-up collection which was never mentioned again since they probably could not secure a license. however, they did tease a dragon egg inspired lipstick. Similarly, Wet n Wild beauty also released a pair of brushes for their fans named the ‘Ice Dragon’ and ‘Fire Dragon’ with a shape similar to dragon eggs and a reference to Geroge R. R. Martin’s novel series ‘A Song of Ice and Fire.’

Be it fans or companies, everyone is celebrating the end of the Game of Thrones series in a way which suits them and is grandly fashionable. All that remains is to witness the end starting this April.

Game-of-Thrones-The-Cast-Signs-Off-HBO

Eight seasons and nine years later, Game of Thrones has finally come to an end. One of the biggest reasons it became the cultural behemoth that it is today is its incredible cast and the way they brought the characters to life. They made us laugh, cry, fear for their lives, and cheer for them through their victories and defeats.

HBO has now released a video with the stars signing off and it is giving all of us some major, major feels.

This video is a thank you note to the viewers who made the show such a massive cultural entity and kept it going throughout the years. Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys), John Bradley (Samwell), Kristofer Hivju (Tormund), Gwendoline Christie (Brienne), Maisie Williams (Arya), and Sophie Turner (Sansa) all acknowledged how the fandom’s love kept them inspired to do better.

Emilia talked about how the show became her identity, while Gwendoline and Kristofer spoke about how fortunate they felt to be so loved by the fans. Sophie and Maisie admitted they never imagined that the show would become so big. And finally, Isaac acknowledged that it was the fandom’s excitement about the show – the intense discussions, theories, viewing parties – that kept them going.

Watch the video below:

But, as Kristofer points out, “everything has an end, even Game of Thrones”. Here’s wishing the wonderful cast great futures ahead!
