Liam Cunningham says Game of Thrones Season 8 will make “epic seem small”

Game of Thrones Season 8 will start filming in a matter of days, says Liam Cunningham

Game of Thrones Season 8 seems just over the horizon with less than 2 months remaining for the ultimate release of the epic season. While we wait to be treated with more and more pieces of stuff like the official poster, a few official photos similar to the seventh season and of course, the official trailer which has been confirmed by Entertainment Weekly’s James Hibberd to be coming out soon. Amidst the wait, hyping up the series is Liam Cunningham who recently appeared on the Late Late Show.

Liam Cunningham says Game of Thrones Season 7 will bring a lot of characters together

First up Ser Davos Seaworth, quoting HBO’s chief Richard Plepler, who had revealed to the Variety that his experience watching the six episodes was just like watching six full-length movies, said:

“We normally took about six months to shoot ten episodes, and on the six episodes we’ve done for the last season it has taken us nearly a year. So the budget, the scale, is absolutely extraordinary.”

Additionally, Liam added that it (Final Season) “will be a different style; it’ll make epic seem small.” This has me much more excited for the final season, yet we already know this via an interview Peter Dinklage where he had revealed that The Battle of the Bastards is nothing compared to the action sequences in the final season. And, this doesn’t come to a surprise to us as they’ve filmed an epic battle at Winterfell this season with continuous 55 days.

And, finally, the part of the interview which has me most excited is Liam saying deliberately or probably trying to fool us by saying he will last in the series for a long time. This happened when Liam was praised for lasting a long time in the series, to which he replied:

“so far, so far. Not that that does mean anything…We’re all gonna die, Ryan, we’re all gonna die. Don’t forget one of the phrases in the show: Valar Morghulis; all men must die.”

We as fans would definitely want the Onion Knight to last in the series until the very last. Wishful thinking can be thinking him to be playing an older version of himself in the epilogue and narrating the story to Jon and Dany’s child – yet that would be overly ‘Disney-style’! And, we can’t forget that its Game of Thrones and especially the new teaser has revealed that too. Check out the full interview here:

George R. R. Martin talks about House of The Dragon Teaser Trailer

House of The Dragon’s first teaser trailer is finally here! The teaser was released by HBO at the end of the HBO Max European launch event and it features a voiceover by Matt Smith who plays the role of Prince Daemon Targaryen. It broke the internet as soon as it was released, and fans are going crazy over the accuracy and detail shown in the teaser. It was watched by over 10 million viewers in less than three days of its launch! And George R. R. Martin has something to say about the teaser trailer.

Martin wrote on his blog Not a Blog:

Yes, I know, most of you have already seen this. (What can I say? I am busy. Juggling so many balls, so many projects, posting stuff on my Not A Blog is not my highest priority, so things may always be a little bit behind here).

For the handful who have been off the internet the past few days, however… HBO has released the first official teaser/trailer for HOUSE OF THE DRAGON. Here ’tis.

Enjoy.

(And yes, I love it too. Ryan and Miguel and their team are kicking ass and taking names).”

Looking at the current speed of production, we can hope Martin’s earlier prediction about the prequel’s release will come to fruition. What do you think about House of The Dragon? Talk to us in the comments below!

A young Alicent Hightower takes over the Iron Throne in Leicester Square

The filming for Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is progressing really smoothly, besides minor delays everything’s looking good for HBO’s high priority project. HBO recently dropped the first official teaser trailer for House of The Dragon, and fans are going crazy about it. That being said, we know that filming for the prequel show will be starting in Spain the next week, and the cast and crew members are gathering up at the Castle of La Calahorra.

The actors are taking a small break from their busy schedule before the shoot resumes, and it seems Emily Carey, who will be playing a young Alicent Hightower in the show is having fun with a replica of the Iron Throne.

Carey recently posted a picture on her official Twitter account. She seems to be enjoying a quiet day at Leicester Square, and her preferred choice of furniture is the Iron Throne replica. She wrote in the caption, “Found this chair in Leicester Square (wearing green was coincidental).” #HOTD #HouseofTheDragon #AlicentHightower

Do you think the future Queen of Westeros was foreshadowing a scene from House of The Dragon? Wearing green was coincidental? Maybe, maybe not. Only time will tell.
