Maisie Williams shares her first ever memory of Game of Thrones and it’s totally adorable

Maisie Williams always just needs an excuse to create a wave in the media and the internet – whether it’s hyping up the new season by sharing her ‘#lastwomanstanding’ post on Instagram or by sharing her latest fantasy of spoiling the show for a fan. This time it’s something adorable that she shared at the Game of Thrones panel of CCXP Brazil. Read on.

Game of Thrones had a Comic-Con panel after a leap of one year in Brazil this time. The panel members were the showrunners David Benioff, DB Weiss, John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), and Maisie Williams (Arya Stark). And, it was a total gig as we got the much-awaited teaser: Dragonstone from the new season.

A round of questions went on from the two cast members and the showrunners at the CCXP event. Upon being asked what her first memory from the sets of Game of Thrones was, Maisie replied in a subtle fashion,

“Meeting [Sophie Turner]…and to having a decade-long friendship with her.”

Maisie Williams shares her first ever memory of Game of Thrones and it’s totally adorableExcept for being a bit bitter – having trust issues in the Seventh Season, Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) and Maisie Williams have been soul sisters in the reel life and BFFs in the real. Moreover, Maisie is all set to be her friend’s bridesmaid when she marries Joe Jonas. Also, upon being asked by the showrunners, which character she would like to marry, she replied:

“Sansa Stark… because she’s fit and fierce.”

This is in fact, quite an adorable reply Maisie – I would say that!

Maisie Williams shares her first ever memory of Game of Thrones and it’s totally adorableMaisie then went to ask the showrunners when they came to know how the show would end. To which Benioff replied,

“Sometime after we finished the third season is when we knew.”

Yet we still ‘know nothing’ – except for a few of the filming details and all we can do is predicting what the new season can bring for us in April 2019. What were your thoughts on Maisie’s adorable first memory from Game of Thrones? Tell us in the comments.

See Tormund and Gendry enjoy a game on Nintendo Switch in Game of Thrones behind the scenes photo

Game of Thrones had the ultimate face-off in Season 8 when the Army of the Dead faced the living folks in Winterfell. The Battle of Winterfell saw a lot of people uniting to take down the Night King, and among them were Tormund Giantsbane, and Gendry (now Baratheon). A new behind the scenes photo from the sets shows the two enjoying a nice game on a Nintendo Switch. Read on!

The picture, posted on the Game of Thrones subreddit, shows Joe Dempsie, who played Gendry, and Kristofer Hivju, who played Tormund Giantsbane, still in their costume and the bloody makeup, just sitting down to play. Take a look:

[NO SPOILERS] Gendry and Tormund playing games in Winterfell after The Battle of Winterfell from gameofthrones

As we all know, the Battle of Winterfell sequences took a gruesome 55 nights to film, and have been described by the stars as some of the roughest times they have had filming for the show. So it’s no surprise that they would have at least some way to relax on the sets in between takes or appearances.

Nintendo consoles are also famous for being the best for the local multiplayer experience, so that’s probably why these two seem so engrossed in the game. If only we knew which game they were playing!
