Let’s be honest, these are excruciatingly difficult times for us. A virus has wreaked havoc in our lives and there is pretty much nothing we can do about it other than sitting patiently within the confines of our homes. Our favorite stars too are doing the same, although some of them have found a way to still work for some noble causes even while staying in quarantine. Emilia Clarke is one of those stars and she is working for a fine cause in quite an unusual way! Read on to find out more.

We know that, schools in the U.S. have been closed down due to the Coronavirus outbreak and as a result, a lot of kids have been deprived of schooling as well as the food. Hence, a new campaign ‘Save with Stories‘ has begun that will raise funds for children.

Game of Thrones’ star Clarke is the latest celebrity to join the movement and recently she took to her Instagram and read a story for kids’ live. However, a surprise guest joined her as well and brought a welcome smile on a lot of faces around the world.

Clarke and her puppy Ted read a children’s book called ‘Bear’s Loose Tooth’ but not before the latter took his own sweet time licking Clarke’s face. Once the adorable Ted settled down, Clarke read a four-minute story for the children.

In the video, Clarke can be seen saying “This is my Teddy.”

She added:

“He is called Ted and he’s a little puppy. And we’d love to read you a story. So – are you sitting comfortably? Are you lying? Are you cuddled next to someone really big and squidgy or someone really little and furry, like this boy here?”

After ending her story, Clarke signed off by saying:

“I hope you’re all doing very well, And I’m sending you lots and lots of love. Bye!”

Clarke had recently declared that she is single right now and it seems like she is spending some quality time with her puppy. Anyways, isn’t it nice to see our favorites still trying to do their bit for the society when everything around is so grim? We absolutely loved Clarke’s video. How about you?

Game of Thrones actor Jason Momoa might get replaced as Aquaman at a later stage in the franchise

Game of Thrones actor Jason Momoa might get replaced as Aquaman at a later stage in the franchise

A good story makes us identify the actors with their respective characters. However, an actor’s skill lies in her/his ability to switch from one character to another with seamless ease. Game of Thrones brought fame to a number of actors. But due to the show’s nature of killing major characters off, many of them went on to star in other projects early on. Jason Momoa, who played the mighty Khal Drogo, left the show after the first season yet remained afloat in our minds. When one could not imagine if he would get so much success anywhere else, he created a franchise on his own with Aquaman. Although he’s confirmed for Aquaman 2, we now hear that Warner Bros. might be looking for a replacement towards the later phase of the marine superhero’s story.

Game of Thrones actor Jason Momoa might get replaced as Aquaman at a later stage in the franchise

A report by We Got This Covered suggests that the studio plans a long haul for Aquaman. They intend to make him a legacy character (that acts as a symbol and can be passed on to other chosen ones). So, Jason Momoa will continue playing the underwater superhero till Aquaman 3. By that time, Arthur Curry would have become the King of Atlantis. Thus, he would not be able to continue his Aquaman duties owing to his royal responsibilities. The king would hence, transfer the mantle to a worthy successor.

The next Aquaman could be a character from the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) called Kaldur’ahm or Kaldur; a member of the team of Young Justice. He is the son of Aquaman’s archenemy, Black Manta, and later becomes Aqualad, a protégé under Aquaman. His journey in the comics leads towards becoming a natural leader of Young Justice. And finally taking on Aquaman’s role under his King’s rule. The report believes that the on-screen adventures of Aquaman could lead to a similar path. So, Jason Momoa may still remain in this universe after all this; just that he would be playing a supporting role then.

No official sources have confirmed it yet, but the report claims its sources are accurate. Some of us may not enjoy hearing about this, but it’s a long way ahead. Director James Wan and Momoa received universal praise for the successful portrayal of a character that was long believed to be a misfit for a superhero-film. The American actor will hopefully be Aquaman for quite some time and show us all his moves till he retires from duty. Moreover, Aquaman 2 is slated to release in December 2022, and we await Jason’s return; there’s also a horror-themed spinoff in works, named The Trench.

George R. R. Martin reveals he did not see David Benioff and D. B. Weiss’ Westworld cameos coming

"I had no idea this particular moment was coming_ - George R.R. Martin on DB Weiss and David Benioff cameos in Westworld

HBO’s Westworld recently gave us one of the most exciting crossovers in the modern history of television. The showrunners of another HBO’s blockbuster Game of Thrones, D. B. Weiss and David Benioff, were seen in a cameo in the latest Westworld episode. While you can reserve your reactions to the cameos for later discussions, the makers of Westworld generously credited George R.R. Martin for the idea. George, however, was surprised by the final product. Read on!

Martin recently took to his Not a Blog, and explained in great detail about whether or not it was indeed his idea. He wrote that he was asked by Jonah Nolan and Lisa Joy, the makers of Westworld, to watch the episode. He enjoyed the episode and the cameos made him smile.

“I got a message from my friend Jonah Nolan last week.  Jonah is one of the creators and showrunners of HBO’s WESTWORLD, along with his wife Lisa Joy, and he told me to be sure to catch Sunday’s episode, there might be something that would amuse me.”

He added:

“I was indeed amused when we came on the cameo of The Three Ds: David Benioff, Dan Weiss, and Drogon.   I thought it was a fun moment, and it made me smile.”

He also wrote about how he never managed to make a cameo on Game of Thrones despite wishing for it dearly.

“I also filmed a GAME OF THRONES cameo in the pilot, as a guest at Dany’s wedding to Khal Drogo.  They gave me an enormous hat and really big balls, which might have been some sort of commentary.”

However, the sequence was reshot and his cameo was cut.

“When we recast, the whole wedding had to be reshot and I wound up on the cutting room floor.  A little later, I wanted to be a severed head on the walls of the Red Keep next to Ned Stark (and David & Dan, ideally), but our budget was not so robust first season, and those severed heads are damned expensive.”

In fact, Martin wanted to part of the famous ‘Red Wedding’ episode as well!

“I also campaigned to die horribly at the Red Wedding, which seemed only fair since I was responsible for it, but it was felt that my presence in that powerful, wrenching, bloody scene might have taken the viewers out of the moment.”

He then wrote that he had no idea what to expect from the episode but he did suggest the makers about the possible crossover ideas.

“No, I had no idea this particular moment was coming until I caught it on HBO… but back during WESTWORLD’s season one, I did suggest to Jonah that, seeing as how the original WESTWORLD film featured a Medieval World, the TV version could easily have a Westeros World.”

He also teased the fans by writing that he wanted various other actors to make a cameo as well. However, that didn’t come to fruition.

“And, hey, I even suggested that they could bring back actors from GOT, characters we had killed.  The hosts die almost weekly, after all.   The fans might have gotten a kick out of catching a brief glimpse of Richard Madden, Sibel Kekilli, Esme Bianco, Ron Donachie, or Mark Addy again… and I suspect the actors would have been game as well.   But it was not to be.”

Talk about teasing the fans eh? Martin sure knows a trick or two.
