Peter Dinklage says Tyrion has feelings for Daenerys Targaryen

Director Jeremy Podeswa reveals the meaning behind Tyrion's worried look in 'The Dragon and the Wolf'

Dany and Jon’s pivotal boat scene from the finale of the Seventh Season of Game of Thrones is truly a game changer. It wasn’t just a union of “Ice” and “Fire” but also the confirmation of Jon Snow’s real name and heritage. But, the reason for the concerned look of Tyrion Lannister over that is yet to be revealed.

Just a month ago, we also gave our own theory on what that concerned look could mean? We discussed the different possibilities of it being out of a fear of the consequences of love Tyrion has known or a coming betrayal for Daenerys. Recently, Peter Dinklage who plays Tyrion Lannister in the series talked about the same with Entertainment Weekly.

Peter Dinklage says Tyrion has feelings for Daenerys Targaryen

Dinklage mocked and said, “Keep it down over there, I’m trying to get some sleep!” Then, he revealed a more detailed thought over what his concerned look over the boat scene of Jon and Daenerys meant for him as an actor. He said:

“No, ah, it’s complicated…A lot of the time with Tyrion, it’s professional and personal. Obviously, he has feelings for Daenerys. He loves her — or thinks he does. She’s awe-inspiring. He’s questioning that because he doesn’t have a good track record for falling in love. There’s jealousy wrapped up in there. And he loves Jon Snow, too. They’re the two people he has the most in common with, in a way — they’re both outsiders in their own families who have refused to follow the path their family has taken, and hopefully for the better. He’s wondering how smart of a move [Jon and Dany getting romantically involved is], because passion and politics don’t mix well. He knows the two of them getting together could be very dangerous.”

“Ewwwww!”: Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington react to their characters' lovemaking scene in season 7 finaleIf his thought is to be believed, it will really be interesting to see what comes next for Jon and Dany now that they are both in love. But, what will happen when Bran Stark and Samwell Tarly finally disclose the truth of Jon’s parentage? We will surely find out once the Final Season airs.

Age of Darkness: A survival RTS game inspired by Game of Thrones’ The Long Night

Age of Darkness: A survival RTS game inspired by Game of Thrones’ The Long Night

Video games and TV shows/movies have often worked hand-in-hand to help promote each other. They also provide the ultimate user experience, where players can live through their favourite films or series. Game of Thrones’ The Long Night was one of the most horrific and stressful episodes of the series. One game developer PlaySide recently released Age of Darkness, a horror survival video game heavily inspired by the Game of Thrones episode.

When starting development we were inspired by the Game of Thrones episode ‘The Long Night’,” explains James Berkelmans in an interview with PCGamesN, one of the game’s designers. “The whole idea being that when night came you had to hold your ground against a large horde of enemies, that’s where the idea of our death nights started.”

“We’ve created this system to give us the flexibility to create some amazing game moments,” says Mario Barone, another designer. “It goes without saying that the sheer amount of units our engine can allow is very impressive. Not only can we do this – but we can do so with many 3D effects and a highly detailed world.”

As the guardian of the last city, you go through an intense day/night cycle where you must balance building up your settlement and exploring the wilderness around you to hunt for valuable resources during the day. As night descends, there’s a brief window of time where enemies are tougher, but the rewards get better. When the ‘death night’ starts for real you’ll want to be behind your walls.

It’s been 10 years since ‘A Dance with Dragons’ was published

Author George R. R. Martin’s most recent Game of Thrones novel, ‘A Dance with Dragons’ came out about a decade ago in July.

Game of Thrones wrapped up filming nearly two years ago, but it has been a decade since the most recent book in the series came out. Fans have been waiting for the next book Winds of Winter for forever now. George R. R. Martin keeps promising he is working on the novel, and this time he has promised he will complete it in early 2022. He said in an interview with WTTW recently that he thinks that his first priority, House of the Dragon, will “probably be on next spring” — and the next, long-awaited book in this series, The Winds of Winter.

Author George R. R. Martin’s most recent Game of Thrones novel, ‘A Dance with Dragons’ came out about a decade ago in July.

The last book to be published in the Game of Thrones series was A Dance with Dragons on July 12, 2011, almost 10 years ago. It had a lot of shocking and exciting stories, such as Jon Snow beheading Janos Slynt in the courtyard at Castle Black, Daenerys Targaryen mounting Drogon for the first time in Daznak’s Pit. There’s Cersei Lannister’s harrowing walk of shame, and there’s the Night’s Watch rebelling against Jon Snow.

However, Martin’s inability to write at a faster speed has deeply frustrated the fans. His long list of admirers has mostly turned into critics, which also includes famous literary figures such as horror icon Stephen King. Whether Martin likes it or not, it has been a lot of time since he last wrote a Game of Thrones book.
