Multiple Game of Thrones stars spotted together on the move

Multiple Game of Thrones stars spotted together on the move

Game of Thrones Season 8 filming seems to have sped up quite a lot this week. We talked about increased activity at the Winterfell set in Moneyglass, and we have some new sightings reporting Kit Harington (Jon Snow) and Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) who have both landed in Iceland for Season 8 filming. It looks like several others are on the move, as well. Read on!

The update, this time around, comes from Reddit. Redditor trufaxx posted a picture of several cast members of Game of Thrones together. Check it out, below:

Looks like this is from yesterday in Belfast (edited with updated info). Heading somewhere together.

Edit: Image link dropped off original post. Here you go:

(An online acquaintance sent it to me. I don’t have any more information other than those two pics.)

The picture was taken in an airport Starbucks, and features Iain Glen (Jorah Mormont), Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth) and Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane). Trufaxx claimed that someone sent him the picture, and that according to that person, John Bradley (Sam Tarly), Daniel Portman (Podrick Payne) and Joe Dempsie (Gendry) were also present. The person who’s sitting with his back to the camera does look like John Bradley.

Now, since all of them were together at an airport, it is safe to assume that they all are headed to one location. There’s a good chance they’re headed to Belfast, but them taking the same plane to get there seems less likely. We have the latest update on Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington being in Iceland, so maybe this party is on their way to Iceland now.

We had talked about how the part where Emilia and Kit were spotted is the part of Iceland that has stood in for Beyond the Wall before, so if this bunch follows then to Iceland, we might be up for another adventure Beyond the Wall in Season 8.

Game of Thrones to return to Northern Ireland this autumn to film the prequel

Jon Snow finally met Drogon, and the fans lost it!

As we move closer to the new season of Game of Thrones, juicy details are dropped along with interviews and more footages and teasers. But ahead of Season 8, we’ve also started getting some more details about the prequel series whose pilot has been scheduled to be filmed in February. And, according to the latest update it will be shot in Northern Ireland – the prime filming location for the main series yet again.

The team including the cast and crew will be filming in autumn in Northern Ireland after location shoots in the Canary Islands. According to the Belfast Telegraph,

“Staff at the Paint Hall studios in Belfast – the main set location for Game of Thrones – have been told to prepare to fly out to Spain to work on the new spin-off.”

According to an industry source:

“We will be shooting on location in Tenerife and Las Palmas throughout the spring. After that, we will be coming back to Belfast for production work in the Paint Hall.

“It’s great news for everyone involved in the film industry in Northern Ireland – if the Long Night is even half as successful as Game of Thrones, it will pump millions of pounds into the local economy.”

That’s some news – at least HBO won’t let all the fans down even after the main series ends. The prequel begins shooting in February and two of the main cast members Naomi watts and Josh Whitehouse have been cast. And, more and more details will soon emerge with just a month left in the pilot to be filmed.

What were your thoughts to Game of Thrones returning to Northern Ireland again for the prequels? Tell us in the comments.

King’s Landing set ablaze, hundreds of extras filming, green screens, and the aftermath

King's Landing set ablaze, hundreds of extras filming, green screens, and the aftermath

Game of Thrones is currently filming for Season 8, and it seems to be nearing the end. In the meantime, we have been seeing a lot of activity at the King’s Landing set at Titanic Studios. We have been having quite a few reports from this set, and most of them more or less speak of destruction. In the past few days, as Game of Thrones Season 8 came closer and closer to finish, we saw King’s Landing get beaten up badly. Let’s get into it!

Game of Thrones data reveals the finale’s most discussed character on social media

Well, you might remember that we had recently reported about King’s Landing having some smoke emerging from it. Well, it looks like they went ahead and put more fuel to the fire:

A large chunk of the set was set on fire, with the possible damage likely exceeding any previous damage to this set:

You can see a backup dome up there, which is likely the replacement for the burned down one, since HBO is going to keep the set open as a tourist attraction.

Moving on, we have some pictures of the set, from a different Twitter user, GoTlikeLocations:

One of the towers that take fire damage was plastered with a green screen, which means we will be seeing some CGI on there:

As the fire died down, another Game of Thrones fan, Oakleaf Photography, managed to take detailed images of the set in ruins:

Now, we know that some residual filming still remains, and A Red Priestess seems to have heard of a rumor that says filming will wrap up in the first week of July:

Let’s see what else rolls out of the set before filming finishes. What do you guys think about this? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
