Do you remember the first time you watched Game of Thrones, and thought Ned Stark, the man of honor, would end up on the Iron Throne? Remember how disappointed you were when you saw him die in the first season itself? His death is still one of the biggest deaths on the show. Sean Bean, who played the role of Ned Stark on the show, recently joked about the bringing his character back on, and that he needs the fans’ support for the same. Read on!
Sean Bean now plays a parish priest in the new BBC series, Broken. He recently spoke to RadioTimes.com about it, among other news channels, and Game of Thrones popped up, naturally. As fans know very well, Sean Bean is known to play characters that very often, drop dead. He was asked which one of his many characters he would like to resurrect., to which he replied:
“I suppose Game of Thrones would be all right.”
You might remember how King Joffrey brought about the beheading of Ned Stark back in Season 1. However, he has continued to be the favorite character of many fans, and there is certainly a sizable chunk of the fandom that would like to see Ned Stark come back. Sean Bean said that it was up to us fans to convince HBO to bring him back. “Tell them!”, he said jokingly.
He also went on to say that Ned Stark isn’t the only character of his that he would like to resurrect:
“There’s quite a lot of them. All of them! Who likes to die?”
