When it comes to cosplays and props, the Game of Thrones fandom goes a bit further than most we know. Being part of one of the biggest fandoms worldwide, Game of Thrones fans spend quite a lot of time and effort on making things, may it be simple fan art, or may it be replicas of props from the show. A new YouTube video shows blacksmiths making an exact replica of Ned Stark‘s Valyrian Steel sword, Ice.
As some of you might already be knowing, AWE Me is a YouTube channel which does cosplays, props and more. It’s most famous program, Man At Arms, has a bunch of Blacksmiths, and other professionals coming together to replicate props from fandoms. The latest one of their videos shows this team making a replica of Ice, Ned Starks sword, originally said to be forged from Valyrian Steel, as we saw it in the first season of Game of Thrones. Check out the video, below :
This is a professional level of craft, and not just something we could do at home, but oh how we wish we could! The channel has a lot more videos showing more Game of Thrones things being replicated, including Jon Snow‘s sword, Longclaw, and Arya Stark‘s Needle. Check out the channel, here.
What do you think of the video? We would love to see more props being covered, especially Oathbreaker. Talk to us in the comments, down below!
