It has been a while since we got a new episode of Game of Thrones, as Season 6 aired months ago, and Game of Thrones Season 7 is past the usual schedule this year, with release scheduled for July 16th. Season 6 ended on a pretty high note, with a lot of characters having their storylines left hanging in some really interesting places. One of such characters, is Bran Stark, who is now supposed to be the Three-Eyed Raven, while still being handicapped, and having had his companion, Hodor, die a brutal death, and him being left in the company of Meera Reed alone, on the wrong side of The Wall.Isaac Hempstead Wright, who plays the role of Bran Stark on the show, recently talked about Bran and Season 7, in an interview. Read on!
Talking to Entertainment Weekly, Issac first talked about Bran in Season 7. He said:
“Bran is in the same position he’s in, which is kind of like, “What am I gonna do? What’s gonna happen?” Is he gonna tell Jon? Is he gonna find anyone? Is he even going to make it past the Wall? He’s only with Meera now, and he’s out in the middle of nowhere, so it’s not looking great.”
He went on to talk about the big change Bran is facing now :
“Bran has certainly understood that this is out of his control now. He’s a piece on the chessboard that has to make a move, and he hasn’t got any moves.”
When asked about how Bran has grown in the course of the story, Issac said :
“I think Bran has transcended “growing.” Growing up or being an adult is not on his to-do list anymore. It’s doing what he needs to do. He’s on another plane. It’s not like he has to grow up and prove himself a man. He just knows he has to do his stuff.”
Issac was also asked about how he was feeling about the series coming to an end. He said :
“Like freaked out more than anything else. It’s been a big part of my life for seven years, just every year doing this show with the same faces, the same crew. It’s kind of exciting, it’s something new with lots of new possibilities. It’s gonna be so sad.”
Isaac Hempstead Wright also gave a one-word clue about Season 7, and the word was “connections.” Wonder what he’s talking about, right? Got any ideas? Talk to us in the comments, below!
