Game of Thrones actress Oona Chaplin says "Incest is the only interesting aspect of sex that remains"

Game of Thrones is a very bold show. Right from murder to sex, and even incest, the showhas never held back. Exploring many a taboos, Game of Thrones seems to have little left to explore. One of the topics which Game of Thrones brought into the mainstream, is incest. Actress Oona Chaplin, who played Talisa Stark on Game of Thrones said that she thinks that incest is the only interesting aspect left, when it comes to sex.

Starring in the new FX show, Taboo, which is oozing a very GoT-esque vibe, Oona Chaplin seems to be doing well. The show premiered on the 11th of January, and it has a brother-sister incest plot line for those of us who enjoy that sort of thing.

Oona plays Zilpha, half-sister to James Delaney, played by Tom Hardy, who has written the story, along with his father, Chips. The pair are seen getting intimate before realising that they’re related, in a very Luke-Leia like way. While talking to Vanity Fair about the show, Oona said that she sees incest as an almost necessity. She said :

“There’s a sexual libertarianism right now.Girls are walking around with their asses hanging out, and guys are just as much. Sex has become a very public-display type of thing, so there’s very few things that have remained taboo. Where does the taboo lie now? I think it’s in incest.”

Until we make it normal that brothers and sisters can fuck, I think that’ll still be the only interesting aspect of sex that remains. Maybe. I don’t know. I’ve never tried it — yet.”

We don’t know what to say about that, but you go, Oona! If Jaime-Cersei bothered you, we wouldn’t recommend you watch Taboo, but if not, you can check it out on FX.

In the meantime, Game of Thrones is set to return to TV with Season 7, in summer. We can’t wait! Talk to us in the comments, below!
