Game of Thrones has been filming for Season 7 for a long time now, and it still has some of the filming left with it expected to carry on until the end of February. Season 7 is scheduled to premiere this summer, with Season 7 marking the first time the filming has continued into the same year as that of the premiere. The filming in Iceland recently wrapped up, and now is filming at Belfast, Northern Ireland. Recently, Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen on the show, posted to Instagram about finishing filming for Season 7. Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow had also been said to be out of Belfast, although there was no confirmation on those reports, but now we seem to have some. Read on!
A picture was posted to Instagram, having Kit, taken at the Belle Shoals restaurant and bar in Brooklyn. Check the picture out, below :
That means that the actor is in New York, which is nowhere near Belfast, but so far that one would agree that Kit might not be planning to return to Belfast, where the filming is ongoing at Titanic Studios. This kind of confirms that Kit has wrapped up his Season 7 filming, as well. (Yes, we noticed they tagged the wrong Kit Harington account. Kit doesn’t use Instagram.)
This lines up with previous information from Twitter saying Kit was leaving Belfast. With major actors all leaving Belfast, the filming might be moving forward to shoot parts which don’t involve the big cast members. Will we get a trailer, or at least some official posters, soon? Please, HBO?
In other news, Sophie Turner seemed to have enjoyed the Superbowl :
We have one last bit of information. A report by Los Seite Reinos says that Game of Thrones might be considering Valencian locations for Season 8. Levante-El Mercantil Valenciano, which prints in Spanish, published a report saying Pedro “Tate” Aráez, of Fresco Films, which works with HBO to scout Spanish locations for filming, has been looking at Valencian locations. Some places which are possibly being considered, include Sagunt Castle, Xàtiva Castle, the Ducal Palace of Gandia, the Monastery of Sant Jeroni de Cotalba, Lake Albufera of Anna and La Nau, a building at the Universitat de València, although there is no confirmation on this information, at all, at the moment.
