Game of Thrones has had such a magnificent and huge cast, and combined with the number of deaths on the show, we are having a hard time keeping track of every actor associated with the show, especially those who have left and moved on to bigger projects. As we always say, Game of Thrones has helped a few actors give their career a nice boost, but Jason Momoa, who played Khal Drogo on the show, thinks that wasn’t the case for him.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jason Momoa said that Game of Thrones didn’t really do much to help his career.

“You get a lot of respect for Game of Thrones, and it was a lot of fun to play, but it didn’t help my career a lot because Khal Drago doesn’t even speak English.”

Momoa seems to be really careful in picking his roles. He denied the role of Drax in the Marvel movie, Guardians of the Galaxy. He is now all set to play Aquaman in the DC movie, Justice League, followed by a standalone movie for his character, a role he probably wouldn’t have bagged, had he accepted the Drax part. When asked who would win in a fight between Aquaman and Khal Drogo, Jason said :

Well, we’re never going to get to see that face-off, but we will definitely get to see Jason get some quality screen time, and kick some ass, as Aquaman. We’re really excited about it. That’s not it! Jason also plays a murderous-good-guy fur trader on the Netflix original, Frontier, ready to hit the streaming service on the 20th of January!

In the meantime, Game of Thrones is currently shooting for Season 7, where the cruel winter will take over, and make all those silly fights for the Iron Throne look like a joke. Season 7 will premiere in the summer of 2017.

Do you think the Jason’s role as Khal Drogo wasn’t good enough to have helped his career in Hollywood? Let us know in the comments below.
