Finally after a year of insisting that Jon Snow will be resurrected, even while Kit Harington and all other Game of Thrones stars and HBO were saying that Jon Snow won’t come back to life, the fans have been proved right!
Ever since Game of Thrones season 5 finale, Game of Thrones fans insisted that Jon Snow would be resurrected by Melisandre in season 6 and that’s what we got to see in the latest episode. Finally Lord Snow is back and we are glad to see him alive again.
Kit Harington spoke with EW about keeping the resurrection a secret for almost a year and acting off the camera as he was asked by the show runners to make sure he convinced everyone that he was dead.
“Sorry!” was the first response from Harington when he was asked what he would like to say to the fans after they watched the “Home” episode. “I’d like to say sorry for lying to everyone. I’m glad that people were upset that he died. I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care. Or it would just be, ‘Fine, Jon Snow’s dead.’ But it seems like people had a, similar to the Red Wedding episode, kind of grief about it. Which means something I’m doing — or the show is doing — is right.”
We would like to say one thing to Kit Harington and HBO. You tried hard to make us believe that Jon Snow would stay dead but the fans knew it that he would return.
