As Zumaia continues to receive attention for the Game of Thrones season 7 filming going on in Spain, other regions are busy preparing for the cast and crew to arrive. Preparations are continuing in full swing in the areas of Seville and the Roman Ruins of Italica, and recent reports from Spanish website  Los Siete Reinos has obtained some interesting information. Extras are busy trying on costumes and ships are also being brought in, while the Roman Ruins of Italica have been closed for public access. Now here are a few spoilers as we go into it.

We are almost completely certain that Italica is going to stand as the Dragonpit in King’s Landing, and that Daenerys is going to be stopping there during her voyage to Westeros. Reports suggest that the extras who are to film at Italica were handed various pieces of Lannister armor. Based on previous reports, many major characters including Dany, Ser Davos and Brienne of Tarth will be present at the Dragonpit, and now as it appears, Lannisters might be present too. Perhaps it could be that the extras escort Jaime and/or Cersei.

Further on, its quite clear that the Royal Shipyards of Seville (Las Atarazanas) will stand in for the same Westerosi location as the ruins of Italica. So it might be that the ships from Dany’s fleet will rest pretty close to the Dragonpit in King’s Landing. The image below suggests that it might stand in specifically for some subterranean portions of it.

Nidhi Goswami I’m a 20-year- old unpopular writer looking to get popular. What I am popular for, however, is being a Fangirl. And if you were to ask me what can be accomplished by being a Fangirl, I’d tell you that sometimes it definitely ‘pays off’. Hit me up for any enquiries about what I Fangirl for, and I shall gladly bestow my knowledge.
