Here’s how Jon Snow and Sansa Stark might end up getting married on Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones is known for it’s unbelievable plots, and a with such plots come massive plot twists, which can often leave a lot of us shell-shocked. Theories are doing the rounds since season 7 seems too far away, and fans don’t stop when it comes to speculating on what might happen next on the show. One of these theories by Youtuber Alt Shift X, seems to suggest that Jon Snow and Sansa Stark are going to get married soon. The theory explains in detail that based on evidence from George R.R. Martin’s books, Jon and Sansa are destined to marry.

The video summarizes Sansa’s previous relationships and betrothals according to the books, which go on to suggest that Joffrey Baratheon, Loras Tyrell (Willas Tyrell in the books), Tyrion Lannister, Ramsay Bolton (betrothed to Harrold Hardyng in the books) — correspond to the order of the houses of the five champions named in the Ashford Tournament in Martin’s A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, a prequel story set 100 years before the events of A Song of Ice and Fire.

While this, on first glance, looks like a very far fetched theory, the video goes further into convincing details, explaining as to how according to the tournament, Jon is the next suitor for Sansa, since it is now official that he is the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen. Although a lot of us would disagree mainly based on the fact that Sansa and Jon were raised as siblings, cousins or not, it is common knowledge that Martin’s first draft of the books included Arya and Jon falling in love. Besides all of this, Game of Thrones is no stranger to incestuous relationships.

Watch the video below to explore the theory, and let us know in the comments how much you think it is accurate:

Nidhi Goswami I’m a 20-year- old unpopular writer looking to get popular. What I am popular for, however, is being a Fangirl. And if you were to ask me what can be accomplished by being a Fangirl, I’d tell you that sometimes it definitely ‘pays off’. Hit me up for any enquiries about what I Fangirl for, and I shall gladly bestow my knowledge.
