Reports have been going around about the rumour of Khal Drogo returning to Game of Thrones, and although those rumours held no particular backing, some of us still wondered whether the character played by Jason Momoa was going to be back on the show. We shared this news earlier based on the fact that Jason was in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where the major part of Game of Thrones filming takes place, and some of the actors are already at said location for what seems to be the initial filming process. Jason’s presence in Belfast was shared on his Instagram where he was having a drink with the show runners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.

Based on these reports, it was natural that we’d think he was returning to the show. However, as it turns out, Jason was in Dublin, a city about two hours away from Belfast during the time that the producers were in Belfast for the filming. Incidentally, Jason was in Dublin at the Guinness Brewery where he’s recently had Mano Brew, a beer created in his honour. This beer loving actor travelled to Dublin with his family, and posted a few pictures on his Instagram to share his joy. The dark bottle of beer even has his signature on the label, and Jason shared his achievement of having brewed the first ever ‘Momoa Brew’.

Here’s what he posted:

Since Jason was close to Belfast, it appears he might have visited the city to meet the Game of Thrones show runners and crew while in Ireland. It surely does explain that Jason’s purpose of visiting was for the brewery, instead of what we believed of him returning to the show. But since it is Game of Thrones, we never know what happens, and he might even be there for a flashback scene.
