Ramsay Bolton‘s death on Game of Thrones season 6 episode 9, Battle of the Bastards, is something we haven’t been able to stop talking about it. The character was particularly more hated than any other character on the show, and if not for the brilliant actor portraying Ramsay on the show, we wouldn’t have hated him that much. Iwan Rheon, who plays Ramsay on Game of Thrones received tweets and messages from his fans who praised his work on the show, and also expressed how great it was to have Iwan bring Ramsay to life in such a remarkable way.
And Iwan did not hold back in expressing his gratitude to his fans for having loved him as an actor and appreciated his performance as Ramsay. He thanked his fans on Twitter by saying that he was glad they could differentiate between the actor and the character. Most of the times fans make it a point to hate the actor just as much as they hate the character, which seems to be unfair to the actors who are just doing their jobs. This can be traced back to how Lena Headey, who plays Cersei Lannister was treated a bit unfairly by some fans refusing to take photos with her since they hated her character. However, fans reacted quite differently to Ramsay, and Iwan seemed to be really thankful for that. Here’s what he tweeted:
I'm very touched by all your lovely messages….and very glad people can differentiate me from the character. Thank you

We’re really going to miss seeing Iwan on the show, and hope to see more of him on other shows and movies soon.
