Winter is here and with it the White Walkers have arrived and everyone should be really scared! The White Walkers have attracted the attention of the fans ever since they were introduced in the show with it’s opening scene. One of the main reason why the fans are so interested in the White Walkers, is their amazing makeup and costumes. Over the seasons the White Walker appearance has undergone evolution and now they look more threatening than ever.
However, it’s not that easy to create a White Walker and the amount of details and thought that goes into the creation of these characters is simply insane! We had recently shared a video in which the actors who played the Children of the Forest revealed how it used to take almost 9-10 hours to finish the makeup and start shooting and things are no different when it comes to a White Walker.
Now we can take a look at how the White Walkers are created and we have Anthrax’s Scott Ian who will got the chance to be the first American to become a White Walker. In the video, Game of Thrones’ prosthetic designer Barrie Gower demonstrates the complicated process that is required to convert an actor into a scary White Walker. He revealed that the initial inspiration for the White Walkers came from the hit TV series, The Walking Dead but the show later used it’s own style to create these Zombie creating Ice Monsters.
