Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson wins Europe’s Strongest Man 2018!

Game of Thrones has had a ton of badass characters and equally talented actors playing them. However, if we were to ask you who the strongest character on the show is, most of you would say The Mountain, because of his sheer size and strength that has been demonstrated over the course of the series. Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, who plays the role of The Mountain, is a strongman in real time, and he has now won the Europe’s Strongest Man title for 2018. Read on!

Now, we know that Hafþór actively participates in strongman contests, and wins them too. We had recently reported about his win at the Arnold Strongman Classic 2018, and now he has gone on and won the 2018 Europe’s Strongest Man contest, for the fourth time! Held at Leeds, England, after a rigorous testing in events like Max Log, Axle Deadlift, Farmer’s Walk, Car Walk, and Atlas Stones, Hafþór managed to come out victorious. The top three were as follows:

1. Hafthor Julius Bjornsson (Iceland)

2. Konstantine Janashia (Georgia)

3. Mateusz Kieliszkowski (Poland)

Bjornsson was the favored winner, especially with the current World’s Strongest Man, Eddie Hall, being not able to compete due to an injury.

Let’s hope Hafþór can clench the World’s Strongest Man title next!
